Ignite Camp—a high-energy camp packed with thrilling recreation, outdoor adventures, and non-stop fun from start to finish! But Ignite is more than just fun and games—it’s an opportunity to slow down, unplug, and reconnect with what truly matters.

At Ignite, you’ll experience a powerful blend of Biblically grounded teaching, Gospel-centered messages, intentional small group discussions, and dynamic worship that invites you to grow deeper in your faith. Every moment is designed to help you have a truly personal encounter with God and equip you to live boldly for Him in your everyday life.

What to Wear
These rules ensure comfort, safety, and modesty for all campers during pool and lake activities.
  • Daily Outfits – Comfortable clothes for daily activities, recreation, and worship sessions.
  • Get Dirty Outfit – One outfit you don’t mind getting messy! You’ll need it for games with paint, soap, and powder paint.
  • Sleepwear – Comfortable pajamas for relaxing and getting a good night’s rest.
  • Swimsuit
    Girls: Wear a modest one-piece swimsuit without cutouts, or a rashguard with athletic shorts.
    Boys: No speedos or jammers are allowed.
What NOT to Bring

* All medications, including vitamins, supplements, and over-the-counter remedies, will be collected and administered by the Camp Health Officer. For safety, all medications must be in their original containers with clear labeling and dosing instructions. We cannot give any medication that is not properly identified. Medications sent in unlabeled or alternative containers may not be administered to your camper.

A medication registration form will be provided to list all medicines your camper takes. This form must be completed and submitted to Camp Health Officer along with the medications.

Main Speaker

DJ Pope has been a follower of Jesus for nearly 20 years. He grew up in East Texas and made his way to the DFW area when he was still in high school. In 2007, DJ married his wife, Brittany. He became a school history teacher and coach before he felt the call to full time ministry. He began in ministry as a student pastor and went on to become a family pastor. He then earned his Masters Degree at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. In 2023, he felt the Lord’s leading to accept a Lead Pastor role. Now, he and his wife have 3 children and he serves as the Lead Pastor at Church Project in Van Alstyne, TX.

Worship Pastor

Zecqureia Johnson is a professional percussionist and the founder of The Johnson School ofMusic, an in-person coaching experience for aspiring worship leaders.

She has spent over a decade serving in variousmusic ministry positions. Her current responsibilities are split between being a worship pastor and the principal percussionist forSinging Women of Texas.

In addition to music, Zee writes poetry. Her work has been published independently and in educational newsletters.

What do I need to know about health and safety at camp?

At Forest Glen Camp we care about pervading the highest healthcare to our campers and staff.

When does camp start/end?

Check – in begins Friday at 2:00 PM for churches and
individuals. Friday afternoon is a great time to get your swim test done.

Dinner begins at 6:00 PM and counselor meeting begins at 6:00 PM during dinner.

Camp ends Tuesday morning after Breakfast.

Departure the camp at 11:00 AM

IMPORTANT: Individual campers must be picked up by11:00 AM

What if my camper has special dietary needs?

We want camp to be accessible to everyone! To help make this possible, Forest Glen Camp can accommodate gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets. Please refer to our Special Diet Policy for more information.

Who to call in case of Emergency?

If your camper signed up individually, you will be calling the front office. They can share the information with Program Manage or able to connect with campers. (936-295-7641)

If you camper signed up with a church, you will be calling to Church Leader/ Youth Pastor. If you cannot connect to the leader, you can call Camp Front Office. (936-285-7641)
